Maintenance Technician

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in theYorba Linda, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $30.00 -$35.00

The CNC Maintenance Technician supports CNC Manufacturing by performing scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance, providing technical support with machine problems, and working with production to help troubleshoot equipment failures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on CNC manufacturing machines in such areas as electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics, machinery rebuilds, reconditioning, and modifications of an advanced nature. Advanced knowledge in CNC machines and automation.
• Work with rough drawings, schematic layouts, technical manuals, and general descriptions of what is desired.
• Maintain CNC machines according toengineering drawings and understand dimensions as they pertainto repeatability, equipment capabilities, tooling, and scaled-up production.
• Dialogue with external vendors, as needed, to ensure thatall necessary components and equipment are always available to keep production running.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and collaborate with other departments, as requested.
• Responsible for managing portions of the hazardous waste program at the facility.
• Responsible for completing hazardous waste paperwork and providing paperwork to EHSManager for processing.
• Assist with hazardous waste transport companies during site visits as needed.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School diploma or equivalent education required; additional education (college, technical/trade school) preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of mechanical machine components, strong knowledge of electrical machine components, Machine M- and G-codes aswell as inthe mechanical and electrical functions of the CNC machines.
• Trained in machine repair, either in a classroom setting or on-the-jobenvironment.
• This position requires the technical skill to be ableto assess and respond to chemical incidents.
• This position requires the ability to understand and comply with hazardous waste regulations.
• Transport of Hazardous Materials based on DOT Regulations (External training course)
• Hazardous Waste Collection and Removal.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience must include some combination of work experience in a manufacturing environment that demands high precision and high-volume repeatability at tight tolerances.
• Professional work experience performing machine repairs, troubleshooting, and PM, with a knowledge of standard measuring equipment of an advanced nature.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi control machines
• Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
