Your Career

As a Principal Software Engineer in Test, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our next-generation cybersecurity products. On our Prisma Access Cloud Service team, you will design, develop, and deliver innovative technologies while building and automating performance testing scenarios for our products in virtualized environments.

We're seeking a highly technical individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of networking technologies. You'll collaborate closely with development and product management teams to test new approaches, troubleshoot issues, and help identify innovative solutions.

Your work will involve participating in design discussions and contributing to the strategic direction of our software. By rigorously testing products, you'll help ensure the highest quality experience for our end-users. You'll dive deep into code to uncover problems, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.

Prisma Access extends the protection of our next-generation security platform by leveraging cloud-based security infrastructure. It protects customers using both public and private cloud technologies, offering comprehensive security for cloud services, on-premise networks, and mobile users.

Your Impact

Design, develop, and execute test automation to ensure the quality of software features for our next-generation security platform, Prisma Access Cloud Service.
Innovate testing approaches by developing tools and automation scripts.
Suggest and implement improvements to streamline the testing process.
Track bugs and work with development teams to resolve any issues.
Bring creativity and a focused testing mindset to produce top-quality cybersecurity products.
Contribute to a rigorous testing process by assisting the team with new methods, tools, and testing specifications.
Gain experience working with various public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure, automating cloud orchestration, visualization, and alerting systems.

Your Experience

Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages, such as Python or Go.
Strong experience with networking protocols like IPSec, BGP, L3 VPNs, SD-WAN, DHCP, TCP, and UDP.
Expertise in REST API-driven automation using Python or Go.
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with DB clusters, such as MySQL, BigQuery, Redis, Zookeeper, or Neo4j.
Experience with Linux or ESXi virtualization, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
10+ years of experience in a related field.
A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience is required.

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for this role will depend on qualifications, experience, and location. For candidates at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to range from $147,000 to $237,500 per year. The offered compensation may also include stock options and a bonus.
