Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mammo Tech to perform high-quality mammographic imaging for breast cancer screening and diagnostic purposes. This position is primarily structured for travel assignments , ideal for professionals who are adaptable, compassionate, and interested in working across different clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following ACR and FDA guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and answering questions.
- Accurately position patients to capture optimal imaging for evaluation.
- Operate mammography equipment and ensure regular maintenance checks.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers for follow-up recommendations.
- Adjust to new clinical environments and contribute to quality care across facilities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with mammography specialization.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography preferred.
- Knowledge of breast imaging protocols, including 3D tomosynthesis (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, empathy, and communication skills.
- Must be open and available for travel-based assignments .
