Linden is a neighborhood-driven restaurant and bar focused on elevated food, thoughtful service, and a strong sense of community. We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, build and inspire a high-performing team, and uphold the standards of excellence that define our brand.

This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values structure and accountability, and leads with professionalism, empathy, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure seamless daily service

  • Lead, train, coach, and hold management and hourly staff accountable to performance standards

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture

  • Act as the primary point of contact for ownership and corporate leadership

Guest Experience

  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards and proactively address guest concerns

  • Set the tone on the floor during service and lead by example

  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback and reviews professionally and constructively

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Manage labor costs, scheduling, and payroll in alignment with budgets

  • Oversee cash handling, deposits, and POS accuracy

  • Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory, and vendor relationships

  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with company policies

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws

  • Enforce health, safety, and alcohol service standards

  • Uphold company policies consistently across all staff levels

Team Development

  • Hire, onboard, and retain top talent

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback

  • Address disciplinary issues professionally and in coordination with HR

Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant or bar

  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Proven ability to manage labor, costs, and operational systems

  • Experience working with high-volume service and events preferred

  • Knowledge of California labor laws and hospitality compliance

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
