We are a fast-growing janitorial services company seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Business Development to lead our growth and expansion efforts. This executive leadership role will be instrumental in shaping the company's long-term vision by identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Position Summary The Vice President of Business Development will develop and execute strategies to expand our janitorial services portfolio. This leader will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and creating innovative solutions to meet market needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to deliver results in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives
Identify, pursue, and secure new market opportunities and clients across multiple sectors
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and strategic partners
Lead contract negotiations and oversee the successful closure of major service agreements
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to guide decision-making
Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure business development efforts support overall company goals
Oversee the creation of persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
Define KPIs and track metrics to evaluate and optimize business development performance
Mentor and lead a high-performing business development team to achieve strategic targets
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
6+ years of progressive experience in business development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
Proven success in securing high-value contracts and driving revenue growth, preferably within the janitorial or facilities management industry
Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning services and facility maintenance operations
Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Strategic mindset with a strong ability to identify market opportunities and create actionable plans
Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities
Proficiency in CRM platforms and business development tools
