Grocery Clerk and Cashier

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Store Personnel to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers find the best products for themselves or their pets. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic retail environment. Knowledge of Shopify POS is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Customer Engagement:** Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying their needs. Provide expert guidance on products and services, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

- **Product Knowledge:** Maintain a thorough understanding of the store's products and services. Be prepared to answer questions and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.

- **Sales Support:** Actively promote sales, upsell products, and contribute to achieving monthly sales goals. Handle transactions accurately using the Shopify POS system.

- **Store Presentation:** Create and maintain an inviting store atmosphere. Arrange displays and ensure that merchandise is well-stocked and organized. Use creativity to enhance the shopping experience.

- **Administrative Tasks:** Assist with inventory management, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for various administrative tasks as needed.

- **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving customer service and store performance.

- **Physical Requirements:** Be prepared to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs as needed. Maintain physical stamina to stand and move throughout the store during shifts.

- **Availability:** Must be available to work on Saturdays and flexible with scheduling to meet store needs.

**Qualifications:**

- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; further education in retail, business, or a related field is a plus.

- **Experience:** Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

- **Technical Skills:** Familiarity with Shopify POS is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- **Language Skills:** Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to enhance communication with a diverse customer base.

- **Personal Attributes:** Outgoing, friendly, and not shy. Must enjoy interacting with people and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Creative mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
