Senior Underground Utilities Estimator

We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Estimator to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in crafting accurate, competitive bids that drive our continued success. If you're detail-oriented, analytical, and bring deep knowledge of underground utility work, we'd love to connect with you.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed cost estimates for underground utility projects (manholes, trenching, tie-ins, etc.)

• Analyze project variables, from site conditions to vendor pricing

• Collect field data from sites, warehouses, and other relevant locations

• Research and forecast labor, material, and equipment costs

• Use estimation and project management software (B2W, HCSS Heavyjob/HeavyBid)

• Evaluate bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers

• Assess project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions

• Prepare and present formal bid proposals and estimate reports

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors

• Interpret construction drawings and technical plans accurately

• Support project planning efforts including manpower and scheduling

What We're Looking For

• 7–10 years of experience in estimating or a related construction role

• Strong understanding of underground utility construction

• Familiarity with project financials and risk assessment

• Advanced analytical and math skills

• Proficiency with estimating software (especially B2W and HCSS HeavyJob)

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

• CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) certification is a plus
