Estimator, Sales, PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimator / Sales / Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA, supporting fire sprinkler and fire protection construction projects. This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys estimating, project coordination, customer communication, and hands-on involvement from bid through project completion. This is a 100% onsite office-based position with flexible start time options. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with regular interaction across design, field operations, sales, and project management. Key Responsibilities - Estimate, sell, and manage fire sprinkler system installation projects while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and profitability.- Review construction documents, contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, permits, and submittals for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, design teams, field staff, and internal departments to support smooth project execution.
- Track project labor, materials, purchase orders, fabrication schedules, billing, costs, and overall job performance.
- Conduct field surveys as needed and support project kickoff meetings, turnover processes, progress updates, and customer communications.
- Perform estimating-related tasks including hydraulic calculations, hydrant calculations, seismic bracing layout and pricing, underground system layout, and bid preparation. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $100,000 to $125,000 per year.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite in office.
- Schedule options may include 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Estimate fire sprinkler and fire protection projects from construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.- Manage active construction projects, including schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, billing, and customer communication.
- Coordinate closely with design, field, fabrication, sales, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, hydrant calculations, seismic bracing pricing, and underground system estimating. - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction estimating, project management, sales, fire protection, or a related engineering/construction environment.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, fire protection drawings, contracts, change orders, permits, and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of project budgets, labor tracking, material costs, purchase orders, schedules, and job performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work professionally with customers, contractors, field teams, and internal departments.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, organization, record keeping, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once while adapting to changing project conditions and deadlines.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, customer service mindset, and willingness to collaborate with and learn from others. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with residential, commercial, or office construction projects.
- Background in fire sprinkler systems, fire protection estimating, or fire protection project management.
- Experience coordinating fabrication schedules, field labor needs, and design handoffs.
- Familiarity with maintaining digital project files, project databases, and organized document control processes.
