Prep Cook / Catering Prep / Line Support — Immediate Start

Kitchen 1437 is hiring a reliable Prep Cook to help with catering prep, daily prep and line support.

We are a small kitchen in Los Angeles specializing in to-go food orders and corporate catering . We are looking for someone with professional kitchen experience who can follow procedures, take direction, ask questions when needed and work with a good attitude as part of a small team.

We are looking for someone who is available to start right away. This is not a good fit for someone who needs to give two weeks’ notice before starting.

This role is primarily prep and catering production , with the opportunity to learn and support the line as needed. The right person may help with cold line, hot line support, order production, stocking, setup and prep depending on experience and business needs.

This position could be a good fit for someone who already works in kitchens and is looking for steady part-time hours, a second job, or room to grow into more responsibility.

• Prep vegetables, proteins, sauces and other menu ingredients

• Follow prep lists accurately and efficiently

• Help with catering prep and catering order production

• Portion, label, stock and organize food correctly

• Help with cold line setup and production as needed

• Support hot line and order production as needed

• Keep your station clean and work cleanly throughout the day

• Help with dishes, cleaning and closing tasks as needed

• Help the team wherever needed during busy periods

• Follow Kitchen 1437 procedures and systems

• Professional restaurant or catering kitchen experience

• Strong knife and prep skills

• Able to follow a prep list and complete tasks without constant supervision

• Comfortable with catering prep and production

• Willing to learn our way of doing things

• Able to take direction and ask questions when unsure

• Observant and aware of what is happening in the kitchen

• Flexible and willing to help where the kitchen needs support

• Reliable, on time and ready to work

• Team player with a positive attitude

• No drama, no ego

• Able to communicate sufficiently in English with management

• Familiar with basic food-safety and health-department standards

• Available to start immediately

Important: We are a small team. Everyone helps keep the kitchen clean throughout the day. This includes cleaning your station, helping with dishes when needed, wiping tables, putting things away, and helping with closing tasks if you are working later in the day.

Part-time daytime hours. Ideal schedule may be Monday–Wednesday or Monday–Thursday , with possible additional hours depending on catering volume.

This could be a good second job for someone who works evenings or weekends elsewhere.

Starting at $22/hour DOE

Higher pay may be available for the right person with strong prep, catering, line experience and excellent reliability.
