Clinical Educator - Vocational Nursing Program | Assistant Professor | Full-Time Nursing Instructor Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our distinguished Vocational Nursing (VN) Program as a full-time Assistant Professor. This clinical nursing instructor role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals by providing exceptional clinical education and mentorship. The ideal candidate will be either a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a Bachelor's degree and extensive acute care experience, or a Registered Nurse (RN) with a BSN and proven clinical expertise in direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical nursing instruction in patient care techniques, clinical skills, and medical documentation procedures
• Develop and implement evidence-based teaching strategies and student performance evaluations
• Provide individualized feedback and mentorship to enhance student clinical competencies and professional development
• Ensure all clinical learning experiences comply with Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) standards and regulations
• Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical site partners and healthcare facilities
• Coordinate comprehensive clinical orientation programs for vocational nursing students
• Remain current with emerging trends in nursing education, clinical best practices, and healthcare industry developments
• Participate in curriculum development and program assessment activities
• Supervise students in various clinical healthcare settings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing institution, OR Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in any field with nursing credentials
• Active, unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license with minimum three (3) years of recent acute care bedside experience, OR
• Active, unencumbered California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of recent acute care experience, OR
• Active California LVN license with Associate degree and six (6) years of recent acute care bedside experience
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical nursing practice with recent direct patient care experience
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented educational environments
• Comprehensive knowledge of BVNPT standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and passion for nursing education
