Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Personal Banker for a direct hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This role is a great fit for a banking professional with teller, personal banking, or retail banking experience who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and delivering excellent service.

The Personal Banker will support new and existing customers, open and maintain accounts, recommend banking products and services, and help resolve customer questions with professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Open new personal banking accounts accurately and maintain existing customer accounts.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that meets or exceeds banking standards.
- Resolve customer questions, account concerns, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform outbound calling to generate sales opportunities, increase product usage, and support customer retention.
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with banking policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $23 to $25 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Open availability, including weekends, is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and service personal banking accounts while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Build customer relationships through consultative conversations and financial needs assessment.
- Promote banking products and services to support customer satisfaction and branch goals.
- Handle customer inquiries, account questions, and service issues with professionalism.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in banking, retail banking, personal banking, or teller operations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive customer experience.
- Proven sales ability with comfort cross-selling financial products and services.
- Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow banking procedures.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented with a commitment to customer care.
- Ability to work an open schedule, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Personal Banker, Bank Teller, Relationship Banker, or Retail Banking Associate.
- Experience with outbound calling, customer retention, and product usage campaigns.
- Familiarity with consumer banking products, account maintenance, and branch operations.
