Fire Sprinkler Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented fire protection design professional with experience designing sprinkler systems for industrial warehouses, commercial buildings, and mixed-use residential projects.

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will join a collaborative engineering and construction environment where accuracy, communication, and teamwork are highly valued. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals, contribute to a wide range of building projects, and continue developing technical expertise in fire protection system design, hydraulic calculations, fabrication listing, and trade coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Design fire sprinkler system layouts for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and support code-compliant fire protection system design.
- Prepare fabrication listings and documentation for installation teams.
- Conduct field surveys to verify site conditions and support accurate design work.
- Coordinate with other trades, project teams, and internal design staff to support smooth project execution.
- Assist with BIM modeling and related design coordination as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $70,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Design fire sprinkler systems for industrial warehouse, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
- Perform sprinkler system layout, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication listing.
- Support field surveying, trade coordination, and design team collaboration.
- Assist with BIM modeling and design coordination as needed.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant fire sprinkler design or fire protection design experience.
- Experience using SprinkCAD design software.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication listing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, field conditions, and design requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with design teams, field teams, and other trades.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, quality, and project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with HASS.
- Experience with REVIT.
- BIM modeling experience in a construction, engineering, or fire protection design environment.
