Ink Technician

Ink Technician Water-Based Ink Mixing & Color Matching | Full-Time | Cleveland, TN

Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is recruiting on behalf of a leading organization in the printing and packaging industry for a hands-on Ink Technician to support in-plant ink production operations.

This role is ideal for candidates who love working with precision, color, and chemistry and who are ready to play a vital part in maintaining high-quality ink performance and color consistency for a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

Weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks that meet exact customer specifications.
Perform accurate color matching and adjustments for production schedules.
Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, adjustments, and quality checks.
Select raw materials, test recycled ink batches, and verify conformance to standards.
Support plant audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and adhere to all PPE and safety guidelines.

What You Bring:

1+ year of hands-on experience with water-based inks (required).
Proficiency in color formulation, color matching, flexographic printing, or press toning .
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical instructions.
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day, night, weekends) .
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a production setting.
High school diploma or equivalent (some college or chemistry coursework preferred).
