Senior Software Engineer, Test Frameworks (Mountain View)

About the role

We are seeking talented test frameworks engineers passionate about ensuring the success of innovative solutions in the autonomy space. This hands-on role involves designing and implementing comprehensive testing frameworks to enhance the productivity of our development and QA teams, bringing standardization and automation to our processes.

Our test frameworks engineers work across our product suite, addressing complex full-stack, infrastructure, robotics, and graphics challenges as the last line of defense. At Applied Intuition, engineers are encouraged to take ownership of technical and product decisions, collaborate closely with users for feedback, and contribute to a dynamic team culture.

Responsibilities include:

1. Create test scripts to automate testing and improve design and performance verification.
2. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and customers to develop detailed test programs for AV software development.
3. Conduct tests, analyze results, and ensure performance quality of releases and updates.
4. Prioritize test execution and identify performance margins.
5. Own the sign-off process for test results, analysis, and reporting for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in testing complex software systems.
• Experience with UI Testing, API Testing, Load Testing.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and proactive attitude.
• Professionalism to foster an ego-free culture.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with AV or vehicle simulation.
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting, or debugging complex software.
• Testing experience in the gaming industry, especially with Unreal Engine.

Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits such as health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, stipends, and paid time off. The salary range for this role in the specified location is $130,000 - $173,000 USD annually.
