Line Cook
Barra Santos is a Portuguese restaurant in Cypress Park with a tight, talented team and a mighty kitchen. We serve a vibrant Portuguese inspired menu alongside a mostly Portuguese wine list and a solid fortified wine program, all in a lively, intimate setting. The restaurant was a 2024 James Beard Award Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in America, and our Executive Chef is a 2025 James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef: California.
We’re looking for a line cook to join our team—someone experienced, thoughtful, and hungry to grow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced line cook with solid fundamentals and good instincts
- Comfortable working in a tight space — graceful, efficient, and clean in your movements
- Diverse food knowledge and a curiosity to learn more
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, motivated, and professional
- Someone who wants to grow within a respected and ambitious restaurant
What We Offer:
- Inclusion in the tip pool — total hourly compensation ranges from $23–$35/hour, depending on business
- Health insurance for full-time employees (30+ hours/week) after 3 months
- 401(k) offered after 3 months (no employer match)
