Production Lead 2nd Shift
Connect Staffing is hiring a Production Lead for an aluminum forging manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA. This is a temp-to-hire second-shift position paying $20–$25/hr, with approximately 8 hours of overtime per week. In this role, you will work alongside production employees on the floor — directing daily work activities, keeping production flow on schedule, and training new team members on tools, equipment, and processes. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday evenings into early morning, with Friday afternoons and occasional Saturdays. Schedule: Monday–Thursday 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; Fridays 1:30 PM–10:00 PM; Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities
- Work as a hands-on lead on the production floor, directing employees in assigned work areas while continuing to perform your own production duties.
- Communicate regularly with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to report production status, equipment issues, and any safety incidents.
- Train new personnel on tools, equipment, and production processes; provide cross-training across job functions as needed.
- Support corrective action activities and assist during customer, internal, NADCAP, and AS9100 audits as requested.
- Report equipment defects, facility issues, and any accidents or injuries to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep work area clean and organized and help ensure the team meets production efficiency and output targets.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aluminum forging, metalworking, or a related heavy manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with NADCAP or AS9100 quality system requirements and audit support.
- Experience supporting or participating in corrective action processes.
- Ability to communicate production status and work instructions clearly in both English and Spanish.
- Experience tracking production KPIs (key performance indicators) or output metrics.
- Demonstrated leadership or lead experience directing other employees on the production floor.
- Ability to read and interpret basic charts and graphs used in production tracking.

Pre-Employment Requirements

- Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
