Senior Director Product Marketing

As we expand our product portfolio and global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Product Marketing who not only excels in strategic marketing leadership but also possesses a charismatic ability to energize and evangelize our offerings to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in passionately advocating for products, inspiring teams, and captivating audiences, driving engagement and enthusiasm across all levels. This role is pivotal in shaping markets, defining categories, and establishing compelling product differentiation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting nuanced messaging and value propositions that resonate with both executive-level and technical buyers, ranging from CISOs to technical operations managers. A strong technical background in cybersecurity technologies, outstanding written and verbal communication and proven product positioning skills are "musts" for this role.

In this role you will:
- Help shape markets and define our category. You will lead initiatives to identify emerging market trends, shape market perceptions, and define new product categories to position our company as a market leader.
- Lead product launches. You'll spearhead the strategic planning and execution of product launches, ensuring a synchronized approach across marketing, sales, and product teams to maximize market impact and adoption. You'll oversee launch timelines, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and drive post-launch analysis to continually refine and improve new product introduction strategies.
- Build strategic messaging, positioning, and differentiation. You'll develop clear, effective, and compelling product messaging that distinguishes our offerings in the marketplace. You'll lead the team to ensure messaging aligns with the needs and preferences of diverse buyer personas, including enterprise executives and technical mid-management.
- Craft compelling value propositions. You'll lead the team in drafting distinct value propositions tailored to different buyer segments, focusing on business outcomes for executives and technical benefits for operational managers.
- Help drive market awareness as a public spokesperson for our products. You will act as a key spokesperson and evangelist for our products and categories, representing the company at conferences, virtual events, and in media interactions. You'll establish and maintain a strong presence in the market as a trusted expert, effectively communicating our vision and value in customer and partner interactions, enhancing our brand's influence and credibility in the market.
- Drive business outcomes through effective cross-functional collaboration. You'll partner with product management, sales, SE, sales enablement, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with broader business objectives.
- Oversee product-related marketing and sales enablement content. You'll lead the team in the creation of high-impact marketing collateral and sales tools that effectively communicate the value of our products to both executive and technical buyers. Deliverables will include product data sheets, white papers, solution briefs, competitive briefs and battle cards, presentations, videos, and web content.
- Spark growth through market analysis and insights. You'll conduct thorough market analysis to guide product development and marketing strategies, keeping a pulse on competitor activities and industry trends.
- Build and lead a team. You'll lead, mentor, and grow the product marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or engineering; MS or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the cybersecurity in a product marketing or product management function, with at least five years in a leadership capacity.
- Outstanding technical skills with experience in cybersecurity is required to be able to interact at a detailed level with product management, customers, and partners.
- Proven track record in defining market categories, developing effective marketing strategies, and creating compelling product messaging.
- Strong ability to articulate value propositions that resonate with both executive and technical buyer personas.
- Experience defining, developing, launching, and marketing sophisticated cybersecurity products and/or applications.
- Ability to influence others and work collaboratively to produce results cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent writing skills; excellent verbal communication skills including public speaking.
- Current work experience with network, OT, ICS or IoT security technologies is highly desirable, including a working knowledge of OT protocols and methodologies.
