Cyber Defense Analyst
• Identify and respond to potential threats; participate in incident response.
• Maintain continuous monitoring of network traffic and security alerts.
• Collaborate with IA, network, and systems teams to implement effective defense strategies. Required Qualifications • AA/AS from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of equivalent technical experience.
• Active IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, ACAS, Palo Alto Networks, GitLab, and BurpSuite.
• Working knowledge of macOS, iPadOS, Windows, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• U.S. Citizenship. Desired Qualifications • BA/BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• GCIH, GCIA, or CySA+ certification.
• SOC or CSIRT experience in a DoD environment.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
