Forklift Operator / General Labor

MINIMUM 1 YEAR SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Connect Staffing is hiring a Sit-Down Forklift Operator / General Labor for a roofing materials manufacturer located in Fontana, CA .

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating 4 days on / 4 days off – days vary weekly. Alternating monthly between:

• 6:45am - 7pm (Day Shift)

• 6:45pm - 7am (Night Shift)

This position requires the flexibility to work both 1st and 3rd shifts .

Requirements for Sit-Down Forklift Operator / General Labor:

• Minimum 1 year of recent sit-down forklift experience.

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

• Must have prior work experience in general labor, construction, palletizing, or similar.

• Prior experience in construction or roofing material handling is a plus!

Responsibilities of the Sit-Down Forklift Operator / General Labor:

• Work in pairs to alternate between manual palletizing and forklift operation

• Lift and place saturated/coated roofing felt rolls onto pallets

• Use a forklift to move pallets onto the conveyor system

• Sort, stack, and organize pallets in the yard

• Maintain clean and safe workstation at all times

• Reposition and relabel finished rolls as needed
