About the role ~ We are seeking a skilled and experienced BE Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As an BE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with various platforms, systems, and third-party applications. The BE Engineer will have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and best practices for building high-performance APIs. What you'll do Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experiences. Implement data storage solutions and APIs that support various front-end features. Write efficient and secure code, perform code reviews, and adhere to best practices. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. Work with AWS services to deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure (strong AWS experience is a plus). Qualifications Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development. Experience with AWS services and cloud-based deployment (a plus). Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
