Associate Attorney

Position Overview SLP is seeking an experienced Fee Motion Attorney Manager to lead and oversee our fee motion practice in Los Angeles. This position offers the opportunity to manage a dedicated team of attorneys handling fee-related litigation, including drafting, supervising, and strategizing on attorney fee motions across our consumer protection caseload. This role is an excellent fit for a seasoned litigator with deep expertise in California fee-shifting statutes who is ready to step into a leadership capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage attorneys assigned to the fee motion team, providing day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and quality control
- Draft, review, and argue attorney fee motions, lodestar analyses, and supporting declarations in California state courts
- Develop and refine firm-wide fee motion strategy, templates, and best practices
- Collaborate with trial teams to ensure timely and accurate time records are maintained throughout litigation
- Monitor billing entries across matters for compliance with fee motion standards
- Coordinate with senior leadership on fee recovery goals and reporting

Compensation
- Competitive salary: $120,000 – $200,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in California (admission to the CA Bar required).
- 3-5 years of legal experience , including relevant internships, clerkships, or law school clinics.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Commitment to consumer rights and civil litigation.
