Job Description and Duties
Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 17 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3percent and will receive 5PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.Under the supervision of a Supervising Registered Nurse II/III, Correctional Facility (CF) and the direction of the Shift Lead Registered Nurse (RN), CF, the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) RN, CF organizes and provides necessary nursing care in accordance with health care policies and procedures, program requirements, and regulations. The CTC RN, CF in collaboration with the CTC care team ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients in the inpatient setting. In collaboration with the Primary Care Team (PCT), coordinates interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care. The CTC RN, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing health care needs of patients and for promoting the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.
Minimum Qualifications:Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California. Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting.
Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required for candidates new to CCHCS prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
