Purchasing Manager
- This is a working manager role, and the candidate will have to run jobs themselves
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies that align with Outform’s business goals and growth initiatives
- Identify, qualify, and manage a network of suppliers, manufacturers, and partners across North America, Asia, and Europe
- Accountable for owning the entire purchasing process and all system requirements that entail; for example, ensuring that all PO’s are received and maintained in an accurate manner
- Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives in cost, quality, delivery, and innovation
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level expectations with suppliers
- Responsible for building and maintaining a system that measures purchasing performance to estimate, with an improvement over estimate target 5%
- Strong experience of reporting on the departmental performance regularly and delivering action plans on how it will be accomplished
- Lead purchasing operations to ensure timely procurement of materials, components, and finished goods for retail display projects
- Partner with internal stakeholders to forecast material needs and align sourcing plans with production timeline
- Implement purchasing systems, tools, and KPIs to monitor efficiency and cost performance
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimize disruptions
- Effective, timely, and accurate communication of material delivery dates to the project management teams, along with ensuring that the system of record is maintained accurately (ERP)
- Lead and mentor a team of sourcing and procurement professionals
- Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews
- Drive ethical and sustainable sourcing practices in alignment with Outform’s ESG initiatives
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, quality standards, and corporate policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the retail display, POP/POS, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries
- Proven track record of developing global sourcing strategies and managing complex supplier networks
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost structures in retail display production
- Experience with international sourcing, including Asia-based manufacturing
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and sourcing analytics tools
