Oral Surgery Assistant
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery office in Long Beach is seeking a back office assistant to join our well established and growing practice.
We want to talk with you if you are a team player with high energy, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and patient focused. A new RDA graduate or 1-2 yrs of prior dental experience is fine -- salary based on experience. Some of the job responsibilities shared by back office assistants are listed below. Typical Job tasks:- As a Surgical Team Member you will assist with extractions including wisdom teeth, patients undergoing anesthesia, implants, sinus augmentation, and similar procedures.
- Register new patients in software system.
- Inform patients of dental office procedures and policies.
- Setting patient appointments; Confirm patient appointments and follow-ups.
- Transport patients by wheelchair from/to office/vehicles.
- Update patient education materials.
- Maintain a professional reception and surgery room areas.
- Assist with marketing activities when needed.
Qualifications:
- Team player- Strong will to ensure high patient satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Adaptability.
- Open willingness to learn.
- Information collection.
- Planning and organization - Accuracy and Initiative.
- Intraoral impressions/scanning a plus.
- BLS/CPR
- Carestream WinOMS software a plus.
- CALAOMS certified or DAANCE certified is a plus.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
