FRP Spray Operator
- Operate chopper gun in a manner consistent with Safe Work Practices.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Participate in the maintaining of a healthy Safety Culture at the facility.
- Follow instructions from operators and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate labeling, layout, and marking of parts and completed products and subcomponents.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance within the plant.
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork on the production floor.
- Fabricate FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) pipe, polygons, and other accessories in accordance with quality standards.
- Operate a variety of tools and material handling equipment including grinders, utility knives, rotating molds, and forklifts.
- Perform grinding, smoothing, patching, and installation tasks for seams, nozzles, manways, and other components.
- Support layout and fitting of shells and parts per drawings and specifications.
- Conduct measurements, visual inspections, and quality checks; report issues to appropriate personnel.
- Control inventory and storage of fiberglass materials, rolls, and sheets.
- Assist with part and product preparation for shipment.
- Perform minor tool and equipment maintenance, cleaning tools and rollers regularly.
- Apply product markings, stencils, and labels according to specifications.
- Work in varying environmental conditions, including high noise and temperature extremes.
- Lift/move materials and components as required (up to 50 lbs).
- Wear a respirator for extended periods (8+ hours) as required by tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Physically able to meet job demands, including lifting, standing, and working in non-climate-controlled areas.
- Experience with fiberglass, composites, or layup techniques preferred.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.
- $24.18 - 29.16 per hour
