General Manger-Retail

The General Manager of the Gift Shop is responsible for the overall operation, financial performance, and customer experience of the retail gift shop. This position provides leadership to all gift shop staff, oversees merchandising and inventory management, ensures exceptional customer service, and drives sales and profitability while maintaining alignment with the corporation's mission, values, and brand standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Analyzing KPIs and metrics to ensure business results
2. Maintaining a clean and safe facility
3. Setting goals/priorities for the location
4. Scheduling to ensure quality service for guests
5. Planning, coordinating, and monitoring special events
6. Interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching staff

Skills you'll bring along

1. 2+ years' experience effecting and deciphering budgets, open to Buys, and P&L statements
2. 2+ years' experience supervising and training 5 - 10 employees
3. Intermediate level PC skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
4. Take initiative and lead by example
5. Demonstrate a high sense of urgency
6. Curating, purchasing, and managing large inventory
7. Creating designs, looks, and themes while building excellent relationships with vendors & rep s

Job Type

1. Full time position
2. Travel is required. Work rotating schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
3. Position requires sitting for extended periods of time.
4. Reaching overheard and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
5. Ability to lift 50lbs.
