Position Summary

This role supports the administrative work of the Tour Cost Accounting team and is a fantastic entry level position for someone looking to kick start their career in Accounting. An important element of the role is the maintenance of the Accounts Payable inbox and communication with suppliers. A high degree of organization is critical to being successful in this position. This position is the communication conduit between the Accounts Payable team, Cost Analysts and the broader Destination America team, ensuring smooth flow of information between all and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and assign invoices to designated Cost Analyst/Accounts Payable team.
• Communicate with suppliers, internal departments providing Invoice / payments status.
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Prepare journal entries to record Destination America’s (DA) on-the-road costs as well as to amortize/accrue prepaid monthly costs.
• Generate and distribute weekly cash reports.
• Run monthly reporting such as Price Give Away & Tour Operator Contribution Report
• Reconcile supplier invoices with expected costs and approve the payments.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies

• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Oracle, Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of Outlook functionalities; efficiency in its use is highly beneficial for this role.
• Familiarity with task management or ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow) is highly valued.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of staff and management.
• Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of work.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving mutually agreeable solutions.

Experience

• At least 1 year of prior experience in an accounting team role is preferred.

Salary

$24 - $30/Hr

Full-time, Contract (9 months)
