ACCOUNTANT

STARTING SALARY: $65,000 - $80,000
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA JOB TYPE: Full-time

ABOUT US:
We are a leading cannabis brand committed to quality products and responsible business practices. We're seeking an experienced accountant to join our finance team and help manage our growing operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to work in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry
while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with cannabis industry regulations and tax requirements (280E)
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience (cannabis industry experience a plus)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with tax compliance and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must be 21+ years of age (required for cannabis industry)

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• CPA certification or in progress.
• Cannabis industry accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IRS Section 280E regulations.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold.
• Familiarity with state cannabis compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
