Position at Jackson Family Wines

Position Summary:

Jackson Family Wines is searching for a candidate to carry out work assignments that result in professional upscale landscaping. This position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all landscaped areas on assigned company property.

Essential Functions/Duties:

• Follow and observe all safe landscaping practices.
• Maintain all landscaping, which includes weeding and removal of dead plants, pruning of trees, shrubs and perennials, mowing, blowing leaves and debris, etc.
• Establish new planting as instructed by Landscape Foreman or Landscape Manager.
• Prepare soil for planting.
• Operate equipment such as: power & riding mowers, hedger, chainsaw, debris blower, hand tools, etc.
• Assist with maintenance of landscape systems, which include digging, installing irrigation pipe and/or labor on other landscape construction projects.
• Operate water timing systems.
• Apply fertilizers to enhance growth, and any other duties as assigned by the Landscape Foreman and/or Landscape Manager.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of landscaping experience.
• Knowledge and ability to operate all landscaping equipment.
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions and have strong attention to detail.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 60 lbs. repeatedly.

• Willingness to be trained and enhance knowledge in assigned duties

• Must be able to work any overtime as needed.
• A valid California Drivers License required.

This position will require a physical and drug screening.

WAGE TRANSPARENCY: The base pay for this role ranges from $19.00-$22.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
