Position: Housekeeping Aide

Reports to: Director of Housekeeping

The Housekeeping Aide plays an important role in keeping our facility safe, clean, and comfortable. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings in assigned areas, following established policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the building.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas according to the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule, using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
2. Dust, wipe, wash, sanitize, and polish as required all fixtures, furnishings, and surfaces in residents’ rooms, including TVs, radios, tables, chairs, beds, bed frames, nightstands, shelves, and light fixtures.
3. Follow all safety and infection control guidelines to ensure a healthy environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications:

1. Housekeeping experience preferred.
2. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
3. Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward working with the elderly and disabled.
4. Ability to perform all essential job functions and meet the physical and sensory requirements of the role.
