Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and facilitating a seamless, efficient sales process alongside the sales team. This role requires a hands-on, team-oriented individual with the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities :

• Service and maintain a group of assigned customers by providing product availability, pricing, order processing, and requested materials such as photographs.
• Prepare accurate quotes, generate sales orders, process change orders and credit card payments, and coordinate delivery schedules with both the shipping department and the client.
• Assist walk-in customers by delivering prompt, knowledgeable service, while maintaining product presentation and merchandising in all customer-facing areas.
• Initiate phone calls to dormant customer accounts with the purpose of building and expanding the customer base.
• Provide sales assistance to other sales representatives.
• Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing on projects as needed.
• Provide a weekly report to the Sales Manager summarizing sales activities, customer interactions, and leads generated.
• Participate in company events or trade shows as a representative of the sales team.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support sales and customer service operations.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
• • Minimum 2 years in inside sales capacity
• * Education or experience in horticulture, nursery operations, landscape supply, or a related field is required, with an understanding of plant care, identification, and seasonal availability.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory/order management systems) and comfortable with phone/email communication.
