Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to provide technical leadership across high-impact engineering initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with a product-minded approach and enjoys solving complex business problems through scalable software solutions.

You will play a key role in expanding engineering capabilities, driving architectural improvements, and helping the team execute on a new generation of platform and product initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end, from initial design through deployment and ongoing optimization
• Partner closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Design and develop distributed, service-oriented systems capable of handling large datasets and high traffic volumes
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve the overall engineering strategy and technology stack
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices
• Build and maintain high-quality full-stack applications using Python/Django on the backend and React on the frontend
• Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and developer efficiency

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building scalable full-stack applications
• Expertise with Python and Django
• Frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence architectural direction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with large datasets and data-intensive applications
• Background in high-growth or fast-paced engineering environments
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives across teams
