Sterile Processing Tech,

The technician will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. The position requires on-call availability, floating to different areas, and a minimum of two years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment using various methods (e.g., autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners).
- Preparing instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Maintaining inventory of sterile supplies.
- Inspecting and maintaining equipment.
- Following established sterilization protocols and procedures.
- Adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Documenting all procedures and activities.
- Collaborating with surgical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Responding to on-call requests.
- Floating to different areas within the department as needed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum of two years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Current BLS certification.
- CBSPD or HSPA certification.
- Experience with various sterilization equipment (e.g., Getinge Autoclave, Amsco Autoclave, Steris V-Pro, Steris System 1e, Getinge 86 series washer, Triton 72 ultrasonic cleaner, Da Vinci Xi).
