- Wash, clean, and wipe down vehicles to be painted.
- Prime, block and sand parts of vehicle prior to the painting process
- Mask, paper, or grease components when appropriate.
- Use basic hand tools and other small power tools associated with equipment and prep work prior to painting operations.
- Maintain condition of vehicle or component through the entire paint process.
- Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.
- Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of materials.
- Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Responsible for and trained to understand waste hazards, storage time limits, satellite accumulation, marking, labeling, weekly inspections, aisle space, storage, manifest shipping, use and location of emergency equipment, response to spills and fires, evacuation routes, etc.
- Communicate with teammates and head painter for additional job responsibilities
- Previous experience at a Collision Center in Paint Department
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate equipment to perform painting functions
- Basic computer competencies
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
