Patient Service Agent
We are seeking a Patient Services Agent to support patients with inbound calls related to scheduling, authorizations, eligibility, referrals, and general service needs. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, remain calm under pressure, and thrive in a structured, fast-paced healthcare call center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage High-Volume Inbound Calls from members and health plans.
- Maintain productivity standards of 65+ Calls Per Day with accurate documentation.
- Anticipate caller needs, identify concerns, and determine the appropriate response or escalation.
- Use standardized workflows to resolve inquiries related to:
- Eligibility
- Referral status
- Designated referrals
- Provider availability
- Claim-related issues
- Maintain strict HIPAA Compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Process member demographic updates and maintain accurate patient information.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve telephonic or service-related issues.
- Prioritize daily workload and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Perform fax-related duties as required.
- Provide professional, polished communication in both written and verbal interactions.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong judgment during patient interactions.
