Manager, Accounts Payable

Summary of Job (brief description)

We are seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join Soleno Therapeutics as an Accounts Payable Manager. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, expense reporting, credit cards, accruals and supporting the finance team with other monthly and quarterly close activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Accounts Payable activities.
• Process invoices and payments using Bill.com, with potential involvement in transitioning to a new AP system.
• Lead and support AP system implementation and continuous process improvements.
• Manage and review Travel & Expense (T&E) reports in Concur, including daily oversight and weekly reimbursements.
• Supervise and mentor AP processors, with potential to grow and scale the team.
• Own and manage the full expense reporting process.
• Oversee accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Handle 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage Inventory AP and perform related reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting teams to support broader financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, including 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in the biotech or life sciences industry strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Bill.com, Concur, and Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accruals and 1099 reporting.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
