Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Health Program Audit Manager I, incumbent performs the less difficult desk audits and analytical review of Long-term Care (LTC) Facility Disclosure Reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the Department of Health Care Access and Information's (HCAI’s) uniform accounting and reporting system requirements. Ensures annual consolidated financial reports and attachments are complete, including all components required by regulation.

Audit and analytical review of less difficult LTC Facility Disclosure Reports and statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and HCAI’s uniform accounting and reporting system requirements. Corrections are made using HCAI’s System for Integrated Electronic Reporting and Auditing (SIERA), a web-based desk auditing application. Report edits are performed, and optional data fields are completed using SIERA.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Accounting Degree or prescribed coursework preferred
• Understanding of general auditing and accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience conducting audits/examinations of financial accounts
• Experience working with databases
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports to express facts and ideas in a succinct and organized manner
• Ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options to implement effective solutions
• Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner when representing the Department.
