Description

The Senior Accountant is an experienced, proactive member of the Finance team and will work collaboratively with our team on specific short-and-long-term projects. The successful candidate will oversee tasks delegated by the Executive Members of Corporate Finance, compile financial statements, work with external CPA and comply with financial legal requirements. The successful candidate will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently. 

• Prepare financial statements (including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements) and management financial reports (including budget, KPI, and variance analysis reports)


• Be responsible for month-end closing process, including general ledger reconciliation, and accounts payable and accounts receivable management for company’s electronics recycling business


• Assist external CPA with annual audit/reviews


• Conduct year-end closing preparation and coordinate timely tax filings including quarterly Texas sales tax filing, annual Texas Franchise tax filing as well as IRS annual tax return


• Secures enterprise financial information through accounting procedures, including regularly scheduled database backups and implementation of measures to preserve information confidentiality by using Summit cloud-based hosting and GoDaddy website security service


• Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with GAAP, and federal, state, and local financial legal requirements; etc.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in English and Mandarin


• Degree in accounting or business management


• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance


• Candidate with previous audit experience / CPA preferred


• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc.


• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
