Job Title: Software Engineer Job Description

Join a dynamic and agile team as a Software Engineer where you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining UI and APIs for a centralized account and consent management system. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that APIs are scalable, low latency, and fault-tolerant to meet both business and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain UI and APIs.
• Ensure APIs are scalable, low latency, and fault-tolerant.
• Build responsive frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot and Kotlin.
• Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB, or RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres, Oracle.
• Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like JUnit and Karma.
• Develop web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design, development, testing, and quality control.
• Ensure code quality and reliability through continuous testing and code reviews.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Use tools like Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
• Implement and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, OpenID, and SSO.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and APIs.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Document API specifications, design decisions, and development processes.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and partners to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Essential Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in software design and development.
• Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with Rest APIs, RDBMS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with OAuth, OpenID, SSO, Keycloak, and GCP.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
• Experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in the PST time zone.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
