This position is located in the Veterans Homes Division and is responsible for providing Headquarters monitoring and support for myriad non-clinical operations in the eight Veterans Homes. Conducts the planning, oversight, and coordination of the research-related and operational tasks assigned to staff.

Statement of Qualifications
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Please note that resumes, cover letters, and/or any other documents do not take the place of the SOQ. Applicants who fail to submit a complete SOQ as instructed and/or fail to submit all of the required documents may be eliminated from the selection process.
The SOQ serves as documentation of your ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. In your SOQ, describe your experience, knowledge, and competencies as they relate to each of the items listed below. The items must be addressed and numbered in the same order as listed; do not consolidate responses. The SOQ must be no more than 2 pages, typed, using 12- point Arial font on standard letter-sized paper with one (1)-inch margins.
1. Program Prioritization and Leadership
After reviewing the duty statement, identify the three responsibilities you believe are most critical to the long-term success of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program. Explain why you selected these responsibilities, the risks to the program if they are not performed effectively, and how you would prioritize your time and resources during your first six months to establish a consistent and effective statewide program.
2. Balancing Compliance with Operational Needs
The MWR Program must balance regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, operational efficiency, and the needs of Veterans Home residents. Describe the factors you would consider when making decisions that affect these competing priorities. Explain how you would ensure consistency across multiple Veterans Homes while maintaining compliance, supporting local operations, and preserving the purpose of the MWR Program.
3. Building a Statewide Program for the Future
Based on the duty statement, identify one opportunity to strengthen or modernize the statewide administration of the MWR Program. Explain why you selected this opportunity, the challenges you anticipate, the stakeholders you would involve, and how you would determine whether your approach was successful.
