We are seeking a talented and motivated Robotics Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge features across various technology areas, collaborating closely with product and program management teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. You will work with geographically distributed teams and engage with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Cutting-Edge Features: Work across different technology areas to develop and implement advanced features for our robotics products, including integration with ROS2, MoveIt, and Nav2.
- Collaboration: Closely collaborate with Product Management and Program Management teams to define the Plan of Record, plan, and execute projects.
- Global Team Coordination: Work closely with geographically distributed teams spread across different time zones to ensure seamless integration and communication.
- Product Delivery: Ensure that product deliverables are made on time and are competitive in terms of functionality, stability, and performance.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements, conduct high-level feasibility analysis, and work with technology teams to deliver solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software development for robotics or related fields.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
- Experience with ROS2, MoveIt, and Nav2.
- Experience with off-the-shelf Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and/or robotic Arm is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams is a plus.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :
$134,800.00 - $202,200.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
