Chef
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Chef / Food Preparation Assistant to prepare and pack meals each day. This role involves preparing simple, healthy food items, portioning meals, and ensuring food is packed and ready for distribution in a clean and efficient manner. The position requires approximately 2 hours per day. Key Responsibilities: Prepare daily meals and snacks according to the provided menu. Portion and pack food into appropriate containers for distribution. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Ensure all food is labeled and stored properly. Clean kitchen equipment and work surfaces after food preparation. Monitor basic food supplies and inform management when items need to be restocked. Qualifications: Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen work preferred. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently within a short time frame. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Ability to lift light kitchen supplies and stand during food preparation. Preferred: Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain one). Experience preparing meals in schools, childcare centers, or small kitchens. Compensation: Hourly pay based on experience.
