Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II of the Business and Technology Acquisitions Unit, the incumbent is responsible for the acquisition of complex and major information technology equipment, systems, services, and supplies through lease, rental or purchase within FTB's delegation authority of $5 million. The incumbent prepares and negotiates complex contracts to acquire and maintain information technology equipment and systems. The incumbent coordinates the departmental acquisition activities with program managers and regulatory agencies in assuring quality control of the procurements. The incumbent provides expert consultative and administrative support where the implementation of procurement advice or proposed acquisition plans will significantly impact the success of the complex information technology and telecommunications projects. The incumbent resolves complex technology and telecommunications acquisition problems and works with program managers and support teams in determining which services, equipment, systems or groups of systems can most economically and efficiently meet FTB business requirements. This position provides services which encompass the Information Technology domains of Business Technology Management and Project Management.

  • Experience using the FI$Cal System, SharePoint, and Access database/applications
