Retail Sales Associate (Seasonal)

Joy-Per's is a sit and fit, specialty shoe store open since 1951. Since then we continue to offer the highest level of customer service. Our specialty is helping relieve injured or hurting feet. We offer foot measuring, custom insoles, and recommendations to start our customer on the journey to footwear for better health. We are looking for a (seasonal) Retail Sales Associates to provide excellent customer service for our business. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store's profitability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers
• Provide accurate information (product features, pricing)
• Answer customers' questions about specific products/services
• Cross-sell products
• Able to keep up with go-backs
• Stocking
• Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role (desired)
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work various shifts

Requirements: Hours of work for this position may vary based on work schedule. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break task sequencing, and using point-of-sale computers. Occasional moderate to heavy (10-25+lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers, working in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, frequent usage of stairs, and potentially slippery surfaces.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
