Location: Sacramento, CA
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized, versatile, and proactive Operations & Facilities Coordinator to support and oversee a variety of operational, facilities, safety, fleet, and compliance functions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, learns quickly, takes initiative, and naturally steps into leadership responsibilities when needed.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, proficiency with business software systems, and a genuine interest in operations, safety, facilities management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance
- Coordinate facility repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage relationships with maintenance vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Monitor building conditions and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support building security systems and facility access controls.
Safety & Compliance
- Assist with administration of the company's safety program for approximately 85 employees.
- Support OSHA compliance initiatives, inspections, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate safety training programs and employee communications.
- Participate in accident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
- Help maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Fleet & Equipment Management
- Coordinate maintenance scheduling and service tracking for a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles.
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and vehicle performance.
- Maintain fleet records and ensure timely completion of inspections and required maintenance.
- Coordinate equipment repair and maintenance activities.
Emergency Preparedness & Risk Management
- Support emergency preparedness planning and response procedures.
- Assist with facility risk assessments and compliance initiatives.
- Help ensure business continuity and workplace safety protocols are maintained.
Leadership & Coordination
- Coordinate activities of maintenance personnel and external contractors.
- Serve as a key point of contact for operational and facility-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, organization, and efficiency.
- Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to learn new systems, regulations, and operational processes quickly.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in facilities, operations, fleet, safety, maintenance coordination, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, or FMCSA regulations.
- Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or maintenance personnel.
- Administrative or project coordination experience in an operational environment.
