Bartender – Lalla Grill Oceanside (Cannery Row)

Pay: $16.50 per hour (minimum wage) — bartenders receive their own tips and are tipped out by servers.

Schedule: Part-time job.

Shifts: Morning and evening shifts available.

Lalla Grill Oceanside is located on Cannery Row in Monterey, offering a vibrant, full-service dining experience with a strong focus on quality food, hospitality, and guest experience.

We’re looking for an experienced and friendly Bartender to join our front-of-house team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment, crafting quality beverages, and providing excellent service to guests at the bar and in the dining room.

You’ll report directly to the Lalla Grill Management Team and work closely with servers and bar staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive guest service.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Follow alcohol service and ID-verification policies.
• Assist with restocking, inventory, and bar setup/breakdown.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Uphold sanitation and workplace safety standards.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a restaurant or bar environment.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Professional, reliable, and guest-focused.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification — or ability to obtain after hire.
• Food Handler Card — or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
