Scheduler
Kforce has a client in Oakland, CA that is seeking a Scheduler. Responsibilities:
- Spend approximately 50-60% of time on project scheduling (detailed P6 development, updates, and reporting)
- Spend 40-50% supporting cross-functional project schedules, integrating updates across departments
- Prepare and present schedule analysis and forecasts to Directors, VPs, and project stakeholders
- Track Plan vs. Actual performance and Estimate to Completion (ETC) metrics
- Ensure consistent alignment between scheduling, cost control, and project delivery objectives
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules within the Capital Projects portfolio using Primavera P6 Enterprise
- Generate master integrated schedule reports from Enterprise P6 for monthly and quarterly reporting
- Provide schedule updates and reporting for Monthly and Quarterly Project Reviews
- Develop standardized procedures, templates, and quality control measures for schedule development and updates
- Support Project Managers with: Monthly reports and progress tracking (EVM metrics); Change tracking and re-baselining of project schedules; Risk reviews and lessons-learned sessions
- Assist with implementation and training of new standardized scheduling procedures and tools
- Review and provide comments on contractor schedules, ensuring alignment with project control standards
- Provide documentation of scheduling techniques, and develop new or improved tools as requested
- Monthly and quarterly project schedule updates, change logs, and variance reports
- Look-ahead schedules (one month back, one month forward)
- Updated schedule templates and process documentation
- Contractor schedule reviews and feedback reports
- Cross-functional schedule integration and coordination
- 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling within large capital, infrastructure, or engineering programs
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 Enterprise (required)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Experience supporting Project Controls teams and reporting using EVM metrics
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills- ability to present to Director and VP-level stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, and project forecasting
- Familiarity with EcoSys preferred
- Demonstrated patience and adaptability in a bureaucratic, process-driven environment
