Job Description

Overview:

Join us at Anomali for a distinctive internship program that spans 12 to 14 weeks. This paid, on-site internship is not just a job—it’s a journey. We offer a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth, ideal for students eager to apply academic learning in a dynamic professional environment.

At Anomali, we specialize in cybersecurity software, empowering organizations to detect and respond to threats more swiftly and effectively. Cybersecurity is becoming a big data problem and we’ll need to leverage multiple technologies to address it. We are seeking a highly technical and innovative intern who is hungry for knowledge, learns quickly and, thinks outside the box. If you have a passion for creating groundbreaking technology products and thrive in a fast-paced, Agile development environment, we encourage you to apply. Qualifications

Required Skills / Experience:

o Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, majoring in Computer Science or Engineering, (or relevant area of study) along with additional coursework in one or more of the following: Backend Software Engineering, UI/UX design and development, Data Science, AI/ML, DevOps or Cloud.

o Proficiency in programming with Python, Java, C/C++, or other modern Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages would be expected for many roles, but we’re open to unique combinations of skills. We are looking for core proficiencies aligned to your technical area of expertise. It could be React/Redux/Angular, or R, or data modeling, AWS or Kubernetes, etc.

o Prior participation in coding competitions (e.g., Codeforces, USACO Platinum, ICPC) or relevent project work or internships are highly regarded.

o Other technologies or experience that could be benefitical: experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), backend development for scalable distributed systems, big data technologies such as Apache Spark, AI, ML, data science and programming with R, Kubernetes, AWS, ...etc.

o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

o This paid internship will be onsite at our Redwood City, CA office. Relocation, travel or housing assistance is not provided.
