This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
As a Product Manager for the FlashArray Foundation team, you will drive the core software architectural roadmap for our flagship storage platform, ensuring industry-leading performance and reliability. You will own the technical specification and prioritization of foundational features, collaborating with the CTO office and Engineering to solve complex data management challenges. Your mission is to translate emerging trends in NVMe, high-speed networking, and security protocols into a scalable, sustainable product strategy that redefines enterprise storage.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect Foundation Roadmaps: Direct the technical requirements and feature tradeoffs for FlashArray software, prioritizing high-availability, performance, and core storage services to meet rigorous enterprise SLAs.
- Define Technical Specifications: Translate complex needs in storage OS, Data Reduction, QoS, High Availability, networking (FC/iSCSI/NVMe-oF), and SaaS integration into actionable PRDs that guide Engineering through the development lifecycle.
- Lead Competitive Benchmarking: Conduct deep-dive technical analysis of the storage landscape to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring FlashArray maintains its lead in IOPS, latency, and data reduction efficiency.
- Drive Cross-Functional Engineering Alignment: Act as the primary interface between the CTO’s vision and Engineering execution, ensuring that foundational codebases support long-term scalability and hardware-software synergy.
- Scale Technical Enablement: Empower SEs and specialized sales teams by developing deep-dive technical documentation, architectural whitepapers, and customer-facing materials that articulate Pure’s underlying technical advantages.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Storage Stack Expertise: A robust technical foundation in enterprise storage protocols, flash management, and data protection architectures, with the ability to navigate the nuances of storage-class memory and high-performance networking.
- Technical Product Lifecycle Management: A proven ability to manage complex software release milestones from concept to GA, with specific experience navigating the trade-offs inherent in large-scale distributed systems.
- Analytical Problem Solving: The ability to parse telemetry and market data to identify performance bottlenecks or feature gaps, converting data-driven insights into a prioritized technical backlog.
- Collaborative Technical Influence: Strong capability to lead through influence, gaining buy-in from senior architects and developers while maintaining a clear vision for the product’s technical evolution.
- Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
