FAA Senior Engineering Technician

We have an outstanding Contract position for an FAA Senior Engineering Technician to join a leading Company located in the Torrance, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $44

As a Senior Engineering Technician, you support engineering and test operations by executing test procedures, diagnosing issues, repairing hardware, maintaining test equipment, and assisting with product validation activities. The position supports FAA-regulated aerospace products and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Perform repairs on computer components, electronic assemblies, and peripherals.
• Execute test plans and procedures to validate product performance and reliability.
• Build and fabricate test consoles, computers, harnesses, and related test equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures and provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve products, testing processes, and quality initiatives.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with hardware and software diagnostics.
• Experience repairing electronic and computer components.
• Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting to the component level.
• Knowledge of test methodologies, electronic test equipment, and calibration practices.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• US Person.

Desired Qualifications:

• Technical certification, Associate degree, or equivalent technical training.
• Solder certification (J-STD) and cable/harness fabrication experience.
• Experience with automated test stands and electronic assemblies.
• Knowledge of root-cause analysis and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
